NEW YEARS EVE: A TIME TO REFLECT AND A TIME TO DREAM AND PLAN FOR A BETTER TOMORROW

Nearly Everyone I speak to (present company included) says how every year goes by faster and another new year is upon us. And if you’re anything like me, for New Years Eve you just want to plan a nice evening or dinner with family and friends, ringing in the New Year among “la famiglia”. But alot of us have gone through great changes in the last years; bad economy, layoffs and people having to do with less…which has become the “new normal” (which , BTW, I hate that phrase.. if losing your job and being stressed out is the “new normal”, it should be called “it just plain sucks not-so-normal”) I’m sure many of you reading this feel that there’s not alot to celebrate in the coming year. But I like to look at the bright side and find things that I can do to stay positive and  attract better opportunities to my life. Here I came across a few ideas in articles detailing New Years rituals spanning different cultures and religions.

I hope these articles infuse some optimism into your lives and inspire you to live your lives in 2012 to the fullest! (heck, at least its something fun to do and after all…it can’t hurt!)

From my heart to yours: Wishing you a New Year filled with Love, Joy and Abundant Opportunities that will Transform your Life for the BETTER!

God Bless!

THE HEALING POWER OF PRAYER; A MATTER OF SCIENCE

I just read this fantastic article on the power of prayer and its scientific merits. The first study of it’s kind appeared in JAMA on post-op cardiac patients. That study confirmed that those patients who were on a prayer list healed faster and fared better than the control group. Patients in the control group also had a higher   occurrence of a post-op heart attack. This study expands on intercessory prayer.
